pdfToolbox in cloud environments - Overview

There are various ways to use the callas pdfToolbox technology in cloud environments. Of course you may just use pdfToolbox CLI or pdfToolbox SDK, install it on a server in your environment and use it from there. But for integration you would normally want to start with a docker image.

There are ready to use docker images available:

  1. pdfToolbox CLI Docker image exposes the command line interface. Go here to find out more and get a trial.
  2. pdfToolbox Rest API is controlled via a Rest API. Please get in contact if you want to try it here. We will then provide you with a ready to use image (we will include license information).
You will also find an overview about the Rest API in articles in this chapter.

For OEM customers the pdfToolbox Rest API is also available as a hosted application as "pdfToolbox in the cloud". Please get in contact if you want to try it here.

If you prefer to use pdfToolbox SDK in Docker that is also possible but requires that you set up your Docker yourself. Here you will find further information.

Except when you run pdfToolbox on a dedicated machine you will need a mechanism to activate pdfToolbox independent from the hardware. In general there are two ways to do so:

  1. Use the License Server, here you can find out how.
  2. Become an OEM customer (if you are building a solution that you provide to your customers). Then you should get into contact using this form.
